The Beta Test Party was the first ever Party in Club Penguin. It happened on September 21, 2005 for only a few hours. It offered Beta Tester Penguins a Party Hat. Beta Testers also got 2000Coins and a free 1 month Membership when the Party ended.
Most beta testers have names like "fano" or "JaMeS" that have a mixture of lowercase and uppercase letters. Although, when Club Penguin launched the CPIP test server, the names were changed so "fano" is now "Fano" and "JaMeS" is now "James". However, on August 4, 2009, Most beta testers' names have been restored, turning "Fano" into "fano", or "James" into "JaMeS". Today, these penguins are considered very rare, as most have quit because they have either gotten banned, they felt too mature for the game, or just got bored of playing.Only the Town was decorated. It had a banner hanging from the Coffee Shop that read "BETA TEST PARTY", and there were two boxes of party hats.
